Snorkelling at 2 different spots
Boavista is not known as a top snorkelling destination. Nevertheless, there are a few snorkelling spots that are worth a snorkelling stop.
We take our Zodiac to two different spots on the west coast of Boavista.
Our Zodiac ‘Ocean Blue’ is a new modern boat with a length of 10 metres and 2 x 150 HP. There is seating for a total of 14 guests + crew. It is perfectly suited for travelling on the open sea as
well as along the coast. Due to the design of the boat, ‘rolling’ is almost non-existent. It is calm and stable in the sea, even in swell.
You will first be taken by taxi to Sal Rei harbour.
Embarkation on the Zodiac takes place either directly at the pier or by rubber dinghy.
First spot: a shipwreck not far from the beach. This is a Brazilian coal ship that ran aground on the ‘English Reef’ in 1923 and was so badly damaged that it was still able to get relatively
close to the coast, but sank there.
Second spot: the reef in front of the offshore island.
If there is still time after snorkelling, we visit the offshore island.
However, this tour is suitable for children if they can already swim safely.
Duration: approx. 2.5 hours (plus transfer time)
Dates: Monday afternoon, Wednesday morning, Friday afternoon
The tour does not take place during the whale watching season.

Various boat tours with "locals" are now offered on Boa Vista. Please make sure that the tour offered to you is conducted with a licensed boat. There are very few boats here on Boa Vista that actually have the necessary licenses and therefore also the appropriate insurance and safety equipment.
